Investigating Materials
In Year 5 we have been looking at how we can identify and classify the properties of different materials by seeing if they were transparent, magnetic, waterproof, conductors or hard.
The children were surprised by some of the things they discovered - that all materials are not magnetic and rocks are not always hard.

Sculptures in the making
In year 5 for our hook event we have been creating a sculpture linked to our anglo-saxon and viking theme. We designed and created a dragon eye out of clay! The children were really excited and enjoyed letting their creative sides out.
