Macmillan Coffee Morning ☕️🧁
Our Year 2 children held a special Macmillan Coffee Morning and invited their grown-ups to join them. They performed songs and enjoyed juice and delicious cakes together, helping to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

👖💙 Jeans for Genes Day! 💙
👖 Daisy Class enjoyed learning about what makes each of us unique as part of Jeans for Genes Day
. The children explored different characteristics and sorted them into those we inherit from our families and those influenced by our experiences and environment. They enjoyed sharing their ideas and discussing how some things we have are inherited, while others develop through the experiences we have.
It was lovely to see the children engaged in such thoughtful discussions and celebrating what makes each of us special. 🌟💙👖

📚 Reading Together 📚
On Friday, Year 2 enjoyed a lovely Reading Together event, bringing our school community together to celebrate our love of books! ❤️
The children were so excited to bring in their favourite books and show them to their friends. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying reading together and having lots of fun! 📖✨
The children said:
“I liked showing my favourite book!”
“The biscuits were yummy!”
“I liked the juice and fruit!”
“I liked reading with my grown-up!”
Our parents also shared some lovely feedback:
“It was wonderful to see the children so excited about reading.”
“A lovely way to bring families and the school community together.”

🎨 Daisy Class became artists for the day! 🎨
Daisy Class had a fantastic time during their Artist Hook Day, getting creative and exploring lots of exciting new art techniques! 🖌️✨
The children experimented with a range of materials, including charcoal, pastels and chalk. They also created their own observational drawings. They explored different textures, lines and techniques, developing their artistic skills and bringing their ideas to life. 🖼️🎨
It was amazing to see our artists enjoying a fun-filled day of creativity and art! 👩🎨👨🎨✨
